# Escape added for /n new line

Hi Team,  
we are trying to fetch the value (sample \n test) stored in DB. But while rendering the output in JSON, using writeString(String var) the result is, sample \n test (adds \ to escape). Kindly suggest for alternatives, to skip adding escape for special characters.
